Hoopers Classes

Hoopers is an exciting dog sport in which your dog navigates at speed around a course of obstacles, primarily hoops, but also including tunnels, barrels and mats.

I currently hold weekly Hoopers classes at Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. Please contact me directly using the form below or via my Facebook page if you are interested in joining this class.

Hoopers, unlike Dog Agility, is a low impact sport as there are no jumps, contact equipment or weaves. Hoopers courses are free flowing so also don’t have the tight twisting turns found in Agility.

Being low impact makes Hoopers not only more accessible to all breeds of dog, large or small, it is also suitable for dogs of all ages and even those that are less Agile.

Hoopers is a great sport for building your dog’s independence and confidence as it encourages handling at a distance. It is also a great sport for focussing your dogs attention and provides an excellent outlet for energy in highly driven breeds of dog.

Not only is Hoopers suitable for any dog, it is also suitable for handlers of any age and ability

Very friendly atmosphere, classes with Agnes help to build positive relationships between owner and dog, by understanding dog behaviour and abilities can learn a lot, how to have fun and train at same time, new skills can be brought home and this is how best dogs in the world are shaped

After completing puppy and junior training with Agnes at Canine Pawsibilities, Hoopers has been a great next step for our flattie. It’s really increased her focus on us outside, has been great for working on concentration around other dogs and has kept us all fit. Would recommend for anyone – our dog loves it.

I would highly recommend the Hoopers class with Agnes – my young spaniel pup absolutely loves the classes. Agnes is a great teacher, she is patient, understanding and brings out the best in the dogs during the sessions. The most important lesson they learn from the hoopers class is that they have fun!

I would highly recommend the Hoopers classes with Agnes. Both myself and dogs really enjoy our Hooper classes and training at home, Agnes is really knowledgeable, helpful, patience and a great teacher.

I’ve just finished my first block of Hoopers training with Canine Pawsibilities, it was perfect for my young dog with joint issues. She can be very nervous but Agnes helped her to have the best time, she picked up the training cues so quickly and learned to relax and focus on me while working near other dogs (a real struggle for her!). We had to miss a few weeks but Agnes helped to keep us in the loop with videos and instruction, helping us to keep up with the rest of the class. Agnes kept each week interesting and progressive, and made sure each dog had individual time and assistance. It was great to see my dog thriving at a new activity, we’ve caught the Hoopers bug!
